Boiled and Fried Channa Recipe

Boiled and fried channa
 Boiled and fried channa are essentially chick peas (garbanzos), seasoned with salt and peppers (some hot) to taste.
  1. 1 lb Channa (Chick-peas)
  2. 2 tsp salt
  3. ¼ pt cooking oil
  4. 1 small onion, chopped
  5. 1 small pepper, chopped
  1. Soak beans overnight.
  2. Add the salt to 3 pints of boiling water, then add beans and cook until soft.
  3. Remove from liquid.
  4. Heat oil. Add chopped onion, pepper, beans, and some black pepper and fry for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Serve hot.


  • There is tomato, thyme and looks like curry powder or tumeric in the channa dish. Why would you post a picture and give the recipe for the dish and leaving out all those ingredients.
